While attending Lindbergh High School, Jon worked in his father’s grocery stores, Brown & Sons IGA, in the neighboring communities of Kirkwood and Fenton, then furthered his education at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, where he received a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. Upon his graduation, he returned to St. Louis to manage the Family business, and as the need arose for real estate management, he converted these properties into retail and office centers. In 1988, in order to undertake larger projects, Novus Companies was established and has become an active participant in commercial development in the St. Louis area. Today Novus has completed in excess of 1,000,000 square feet of development projects.
