John began his real estate career in 1984. It wasn't long before he sold his first hotel, just a foreshadow of how hotels would become his passion. John not only built a successful career as a real estate broker, he soon was in the business of owning and operating his own hotels. Since that time he has owned and operated hotel properties throughout the state of Colorado including, Vail, Steamboat Srings, Montrose, Ouray, Wheat Ridge (Denver), Grand Junction and Glenwood Springs. John and his wife Lucinda, now also currently own the hotel Brands, Affordable Inns and Stay Wise Inns and help hotels position themselves securely in their respective markets. John has also been a receiver for banks with troubled hotel assets. He has succeeded in helping banks maintain and often increase the value of their hotel portfolios through the application of the business prinicples he has gained through his own hotel ownership. Understanding hotel operations gives John an in depth understanding of the hotel market that most real estate agents do not comprehend.
