PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
In October of 2001 John G. Udell was appointed President of Weichert Commercial Brokerage, Inc. and continues to oversee Weichert New Homes & Land Co., Inc. The combined companies average annual sales volume is in excess of $500 million.
In 1995 Mr. Udell merged Metland Properties Group Inc. with Weichert New Homes and Land Co., Inc. He expanded this company to provide New Homes and Land Sales and Management into five states.
From 1992 to 1995 Mr. Udell was President of Metland Properties Group Inc., an affiliated company of Weichert Realtors. He oversaw this company, which provided consulting and construction services and brokered distressed assets. He handled portfolios containing 1-30 assets. The following is a sample listing of clients: RTC, FDIC, First Fidelity, NatWest, Midlantic National Bank and Carteret Savings.
From 1990 to 1992 he consulted and/or completed projects for 10 leading Institutions. His in-depth knowledge of the diverse and complex obstacles in real estate development, syndication, financing and disposition procedures had been acquired throughout his extensive real estate career.
In 1985, Mr. Udell became associated with one of the nation’s leading land developers and home builders of New Jersey, California and Virginia. He later became a principal of the company. From 1987 until his departure in 1990, the company’s annual sales revenues exceeded $100 million and was among the nation’s top 100 builders. He has been involved nationally in real estate development and analysis acquiring, developing and disposing of real property valued in excess of $500,000,000. He has acquired and supervised development companies in New Jersey, California, Pennsylvania and Washington, DC metropolitan markets.
From 1980 to 1985, Mr. Udell was a member of the Million Dollar Sales Club, and in 1985 became a President’s Club member. During this period, he also managed a land development division for one of the New York metropolitan area’s largest real estate companies.

He is a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), Industrial and Office Real Estate Brokers Association of the New York Metropolitan Area (IOREBA),National Association of Home Builders (NAHB); New Jersey Builders Association (NJBA); Metroplitan Builders & Contractors Association of New Jersey; North Central Jersey Association of Realtors; National Association of Realtors (NAR); formerly a New Jersey Registered Builder and member of the Chester Township Zoning Board.
