Mr. Thomas has experienced broad-based success throughout his career by professionally marketing multifamily properties, retail shopping centers as well as net leased assets, office buildings, and land for development. In 2010, Mr. Thomas facilitated the largest commercial real estate transaction in Long Island history with the $230,000,000 Fairhaven 1666 unit, multifamily portfolio sale. Mr. Thomas is a multi-year winner of the CoStar Power Broker award as well as a 2011 recipient of the Long Island Business News Real Estate and Development award. In addition, Mr. Thomas was the recipient of a 2010 Area Leader award from the Real Estate Forum. From 1986 through 1995, Mr. Thomas led a Long Island-based, boutique investment real estate brokerage firm in annual transaction volume. From 1995 through 2012, Mr. Thomas was a Co-Founder, Partner, and Managing Director of Select Investment Realty Advisors, LLC. Under Mr. Thomas’ and Mr. Walsh’s guidance, along with their team, the company became the dominant investment brokerage firm in the region. In late 2012, along with co-founding partner, Mark Walsh and several other team members, Select Real Equity Advisors, LLC was formed with the intent to proactively foster client relationships through delivering exemplary service with cutting edge, innovative technologies coupled with sound and tested business practices. This further commitment to client satisfaction is delivered with his unwavering commitment to high ethical standards. Mr. Thomas’ extensive lists of satisfied clients range from institutional to private companies, family trusts, and individuals and further evidence his relationship-driven commitment. Mr. Thomas is a licensed real estate broker and an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. Living on Long Island with his family, Mr. Thomas is an active participant in his community. For several years he has been a mentor for high school students through the Earn and Learn program (created and run by client and friend Jefry Rosmarin). He has also been involved in coaching youth sports and supporting numerous charities. Those organizations include Save the Children, Trickle Up, Housing Help, and Family Service League. In addition, he has a strong interest in issues of affordable housing and homelessness. Mr. Thomas has personally been involved in directing the sponsorship of three homes for Habitat for Humanity, as well as the organization and construction of several other Habitat homes.
