John is a native of this city and a graduate of the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. He has been licensed and active in area real estate markets since 1975 and served for over 23 years as member, and then chairman, of the Mobile Zoning Board of Adjustment. John is the only dual accredited broker (SIOR and CCIM) in south Alabama.
His practice has encompassed the sale and leasing of large and small industrial facilities ranging from heavy to light assembly and manufacturing, to warehousing and distribution, as well as brokerage of the land upon which such facilities have been developed.
He has done tenant rep work for large legal practices entering into long term leases in A class office buildings, as well as assisting in the successful repurposing of properties from one asset class to another.
Mr. Peebles is also active in the area of urban infill development and redevelopment, and has participated in numerous development projects utilizing Historic Tax Credits and Tax Increment Fund grant financing.
He was an organizational founding board member of the Downtown Mobile District Management Corporation, which fathered the Downtown Mobile Alliance, and operates Main Street Mobile; and remains active with all organizations.
NAI Mobile, LLC, was formed in August, 2013 by merging NAI Peebles & Cameron with the firm of Gleason & Roberds. Collectively, the principals have over 145 years experience in the Mobile/Baldwin County commercial and industrial real estate markets. Over the years each of the partners has represented many local, regional, national, and international clients in their pursuit of their clients real estate objectives in these markets.
