With over 30 years of commercial real estate experience, John Lizzul has completed several hundred commercial real estate transactions throughout the world. These include commercial leases and sales transactions valued at several billion dollars. Mr. Lizzul’s experience with the impact of real estate transactions from the corporate perspective has produced savings of tens of millions of dollars for his clients. Mr. Lizzul recently joined Lee & Associates as a Senior Managing Director. Prior to joining Lee, Mr. Lizzul spent over 24 years with Newmark Knight Frank as a commercial real estate broker and advisor. In 2002, Newmark Knight Frank named Mr. Lizzul its “Broker of the Year.” Before Newmark, Mr. Lizzul was vice president, corporate real estate with the Chase Manhattan Bank (currently JPMorgan Chase) where he handled site selection, financial analysis and negotiation of the Bank’s 15 million square feet of retail branch and office space around the world. Previously, Mr. Lizzul was director of corporate real estate for PaineWebber, Inc., an investment bank and securities brokerage firm acquired by UBS, where he supervised the staff responsible for all national retail branch and office real estate needs of the company consisting of approximately 3 million square feet. Mr. Lizzul has been a guest lecturer or speaker for numerous companies and events, including The Newman Real Estate Institute at Baruch College, NYU’s Real Estate Institute, The Prudential Properties Company, Mullions (an insurance company trade group), Trammell Crow Company and the International Association of Corporate Real Estate Executives (currently Corenet). He was Adjunct Assistant Professor at The Real Estate Institute of New York University, where he developed and taught an advanced level course on leasing. Mr. Lizzul practiced corporate, securities and real estate law in Manhattan for several years prior to launching a career in the commercial real estate industry. Mr. Lizzul was a member of the prestigious Real Property Law Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. A graduate of New York University School of Law and Stony Brook University, Mr. Lizzul is a member of the New York Bar and a licensed New York State Real Estate Broker.
