John has held a variety of responsibilities and worked with many users throughout his real estate career. Most recently, leading a team of Transaction Managers responsible for disposing of over 1,000 assets for CVS, a Fortune 10 healthcare provider, retail operator of over 9,000 stores providing prescription drugs, general merchandise, including over-the-counter drugs, beauty products and cosmetics and one of America’s most recognizable brands. Before that, John led the Cushman & Wakefield’s onboarding efforts for Transaction Management services with Penske’s Truck Leasing and Third-Party Logistics business occupying 1,000 North American locations. During the first ninety days of the relationship, John’s team successfully completed technology implementation, document standardization and process refinement before taking the program live and completing over 100 transactions during the first 12 months of the relationship. John partnered with Kelly Services, a Fortune 500 user of office and retail real estate with 400 North American locations and led efforts to redefine their portfolio strategy. Under John’s leadership, the team was able identify underperforming markets and consolidation opportunities which will allow the client to optimize their portfolio and reduce future annual rental obligations by as much as 30% while operating in more efficient space. John also worked with Stanley Black & Decker, a Fortune 300 user of industrial and office real estate and a world-leading provider of tools and storage, commercial electronic security and engineered fastening systems. In this role, John worked to improve the organization’s portfolio and drive savings by identifying strategic real estate opportunities and conducting lease negotiations throughout North America with an emphasis on improving the last mile of the service distribution channel throughout the United States. John’s real estate background also includes working in an agency leasing role for one of the Midwest’s premier owners of institutional grade real estate. In this role, John was responsible for attracting and retaining office and industrial users for a 5 million square foot portfolio while developing strategies for each asset that achieved the stated goals of the company’s investment funds.
