Bio
John Q. Birmingham, III joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2001 and currently serves as Director in the Brokerage Services Group in the Wilmington, DE office. He has represented various industrial and flex users, law firms, consulting offices and companies in financial related industries.
Complementing his tenant representation experience, Mr. Birmingham has also served as sales and leasing agent for various projects throughout the Delmarva Peninsula and southeastern Pennsylvania including flex, warehouse and office buildings.
Prior to joining C&W, Mr. Birmingham owned and operated his private firm, Birmingham Real Estate, Inc. He has worked in the commercial real estate business since 1980. Prior to founding his own firm, he was a partner at Smith Mack Birmingham, Inc. and began his career at Coldwell Banker Commercial (now CB Richard Ellis).
John earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from Babson College. He is very active in the community and is a participating member with numerous Civic Associations including Wilmington’s Committee of 100 a group whose purpose is responsible economic development and CIRC which is New Castle County’s Commercial and Industrial Realty Council where he serves as President and a member of the Board of Directors. He is also a past member of the Wilmington Rotary Club and a committee member of the New Castle County chapter of Duck’s Unlimited, a national land conservation group.
