Joe joined Sperry Van Ness, Inc. (now SVN)in July 2010 with over 30 years experience in Commercial real estate in the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky market. After 23 years as the top producing office specialist at CB Richard Ellis in Cincinnati, Joe moved to Carey Laumer Commercial Realty in July 2005. The Cincinnati Board of Realtors recognized him as the No. 3 Top Producing Office Realtor in and in 2003 Joe was recognized as the No. 1 Top Producing Office Realtor in Cincinnati and has also been named a CoStar "Power Broker" in Cincinnati. Joe is dedicated to providing his clients both Owners and Tenant/Buyers with the highest level of professional representation. His experience and expertise have resulted in an impressive list of satisfied clients.
Before working in real estate, Joe spent five years with the Cincinnati based Stearns and Foster Company as their National Sales Manager returning to Cincinnati after sales assignments in Chicago and New York with the firm. Joe’s extensive experience in negotiating contracts, representing owners and tenants qualifies him to be a strong advocate in the negotiation process.
Joe received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism/Communications from the University of Kentucky. After graduation, he lived and worked in New Jersey and then New York City attending Monmouth College and New York University in their MBA program. He moved to Cincinnati in 1976, joining the Stearns and Foster Company and while there attended Xavier University. Joe and his wife Darlene are residents of Hyde Park.
Since Joe began working in commercial brokerage, he has consummated transactions throughout the Greater Cincinnati area totaling over 7 Million square feet. These sale and lease transactions have generated more than $500 million in total value. His past and current clients include both national and local tenants including General Electric Co., Pfizer, McDonald's, Merrill Lynch, TIAA CREF, Prudential, Merrill Lynch, Anthem Insurance, Bell South, Xerox Corp., Fifth Third Bank, Ohio Casualty Group, Corporex Companies, Arthur Andersen, and TRW.
