JJ Shepard is a Senior Vice President with CBRE’s Seattle office, where he specializes in institutional office properties in the Greater Seattle Area. He brings 17 years of diverse commercial real estate background to the table; spearheading more than 800 leasing transactions totaling over five million square feet and $1 billion, JJ provides exemplary service to each of his clients. He has had the opportunity of working with a range of firms, from Fortune 500 companies to local startups, giving him exceptional insight into the local market and beyond.
JJ began his career in 1994 at AT&T Wireless working in the finance department, and was promoted into a Senior Financial Analyst role, where he won a national performance award. From there, he transitioned into a CFO position at a computer security company, CyberSafe, while also doing freelance work appraising commercial real estate and companies. In doing so, JJ found his passion for the real estate business and decided to join Pacific Real Estate Partners, Inc., and was made a principal of the company. The company was later purchased by JLL in 2011, where JJ went on to become the Managing Director of JLL’s Bellevue office.
JJ has been recognized by the CoStar Group with the Power Broker award, which is given to the top producers of each market area, as well as being honored as a finalist for CoStar’s Top Broker of the Year award. JJ brings a wealth of knowledge to each transaction and relationship he is a part of, and strives to achieve the best outcome for each of his clients by applying his hands-on approach.
