The Mudd family first moved to Cedar Falls, Iowa, in 1973. After settling in the Cedar Valley, Jim and Cecelia Mudd bought the KCFI radio station, which they operated until 1981. It was then that Jim and Cecelia started Jim Mudd Advertising.
Over the past 37 years, the company has grown to become a $60 million organization. It now employs 170 people, including employees in the new Chicago office. The Mudd family currently owns five buildings in Cedar Falls and nearly 100,000 square feet in real estate. Mudd Real Estate team is currently:
Since its inception, Mudd Advertising has expanded to include offices in Cedar Falls, Iowa; Chicago, Illinois; and Nashville, Tennessee. The company has consistently supported hundreds of community projects over the years and continues to do so today.
The Mudd family believes in the Cedar Valley and is proud to continue to live and grow here in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and the Mudd family has slowly grown our real estate portfolio over the last 45 years in Cedar Falls.
