Jim Clark is Founder and Managing Principal of EnTrust Realty Advisors which specializes in real estate transaction advisory services for investors and tenants. EnTrust focuses on property sales/acquisitions, joint ventures and financing for investors and represents tenants in identifying and negotiating leases of office, medical and industrial space.
Jim’s depth of 35 years experience, encompasses investment banking and brokerage, asset management, real estate finance and tenant representation. He has extensive relationships with institutional investors, investment funds, REITs, developers, lenders, and transaction professionals. He has completed over $5.0 billion in property transactions on behalf of leading institutional and private investors, as well as corporate and non-profit organizations, nationwide. He has also managed over $1.0 billion in investments as a principal, including mortgage loan portfolios and owned property.
Jim began his real estate career in 1984 and founded EnTrust in 2002. Prior to forming EnTrust, he was President of Investment Services at Transwestern where he built and managed the national investment brokerage business. Previously, he was Managing Director of Institutional Services at Grubb & Ellis Company and Regional Vice President at Mutual of New York where he managed an investment portfolio of properties and loans for the Midwest region. He was also Vice President at Lehman Brothers where he helped form its real estate investment banking group. He has a B.S. from New York University, a M.B.A. from Columbia University Business School, and a M.Div. from Garrett Theological Seminary at Northwestern University. He has also completed the Summer Leadership Institute at Harvard University.
Jim is a Board Member of the Wheaton Bank & Trust, a Wintrust Charter Bank; a member of the Board and Executive Committee of Jackson Park Hospital in Chicago, and an Established Leader of the Business Leadership Council. He was also inducted into the Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame by Midwest Real Estate News in 2016. Additionally, Rev. Clark is an ordained minister serving St. John Church in Aurora, IL. Jim and his wife reside in the western suburbs of Chicago in the City of Naperville.
