The National Association of Industrial Office Park’s (NAIOP) 1995 Broker of the Year, Jim Cahlin has been active in the Commercial Real estate industry since 1983.
Mr. Cahlin specializes in corporate real estate and representing clients such as: Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, Citicorp, Kemper Insurance, Sprint, General Motors, the National Association of Securities Dealers, Bureau Veritas, Sun Capital Partners and others on multiple assignments, locally, regionally and nationally.
Mr. Cahlin’s has participated in the sale of more than $100,000,000 of office product and $50,000,000 of vacant land. Additionally Mr. Cahlin has assisted numerous clients with the acquisition of new space, restructuring of existing leases and lease renewals. Highlights of Mr. Cahlin’s brokerage career include the 640,000 square foot sale of Racal Milgo’s campus in Sunrise; the 40 acre land sale of Southpointe in Plantation, negotiating corporate headquarters space for CBS SportsLine, Chiquita Brands International, Republic Services, Inc., Office Depot, Scott Paper Company and First NLC Financial Services.
Mr. Cahlin has been a Board Member of the Broward Alliance, Boys and Girls Club of Broward County, active in other civic organizations and was named one of the South Florida Business Journals outstanding business professional under the age of 40 in 1998.
