As a veteran in sales and sales management and having been with a Fortune 100 Company, Mr. Barber joined forces with M3 Millennium Companies in the 1990’s. His relationship with M3’s broker David Jones goes back to 1980 when he met Mr. Jones on the campus of Birmingham-Southern College. Jim graduated with honors from ‘Southern in May of 1984 with a degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in both Marketing and Economics.
Mr. Barber has focused primarily on tenant representation with M3 Millennium Companies and lists among his many clients such as diverse organizations as the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Franklin Covey, Cooper Power Systems, The University of Georgia Outreach Services, Nikon, K Swiss and various medical practitioners. Historically, Mr. Barber closes between ten and fifteen million dollars in commercial real estate transactions each year. He also holds a Real Estate Brokers License from the State of Georgia.
Over the last few years, along with his tenant representation base of business, Mr. Barber has expanded into landlord brokerage representation as well as commercial real estate development.
He is married to the former Diana Strichard and is the proud father of two sons. He is actively involved in many of his son’s activities including dirt bike/ trail riding and baseball. In 2005, he became a member of the 1% Club which focuses attention on creating balance within active lifestyle.
He is currently the Vice President and a very active member of BNI a business-to-business networking group in Atlanta. Additionally, Jim is a founding member of Gold Key Advisors – a local resource for small business owners. Mr. Barber is also a member of the Atlanta Commercial Real Estate Board. He has consistently been recognized in the board’s Million Dollar Club. He proudly serves as the chair of the Stewardship Committee and is representative for the church council at John’s Creek United Methodist Church. Each of these diverse groups allows him to actively stay involved with all aspects of the Commercial Real Estate market within the Atlanta area, and enables him to sustain lasting relationships with many brokers and landlords within Atlanta.
