With years of small-farm advocacy at the state capitol and high-end hospitality experience from as far away as New Zealand, San Francisco, New Orleans and the Virgin Islands, Jesse has worked with a diverse group of talented people. However, it's his work within rural Minnesota and the Grand Rapids community that has been most rewarding.
A garlic farmer on a fourth-generation family farm in Trout Lake Township, Jesse has 15+ years of experience working with off-grid power systems and sees tremendous potential for renewables at both full-time homes, farms and vacation properties.
Jesse is actively involved in the Grand Rapids Farmers' Market and the Itasca Community Gardens. An advocate for the arts in Greater Itasca County, Jesse also plays viola for the Itasca Symphony Orchestra where he serves as board president. He’s also the board president for the Itasca County Board of Realtors and the Itasca Water Legacy Partnership.
