Jesse Carter – Vice President of SVN | BlackStream and current Broker-In-Charge of Miller Road and Brendan Way locations, began his CRE career focused on Investment Sales primarily in Retail. He then branched out into other investment offerings including Office, Mixed-Use Developments and Build-to-Suit Developments.
A licensed real estate broker in SC and GA, Jesse serves the Carolinas and Southeast for multiple clients ranging from small retail operations to large build-to-suit clients. Jesse has become an expert in underwriting, projecting financial models, and creating budgets for redevelopment and ground-up projects. Jesse is very familiar with valuation, investment return metrics and real estate law. His experience expands to leasing, where he has represented a long list of clients in both tenant and landlord representation.
Currently, Jesse is actively involved in site identification for build-to-suit clients, as well as managing several clients focused on retail and office investments. Jesse has experience with 1031 Exchanges, and has multiple transactions involving tax deferral. He represented TCC | Verizon’s expansion and lease management throughout the entire state of South Carolina, and is actively helping multiple retailers to expand in the Southeast.
As a member of Pulse, the Greenville Chamber of Commerce’s young professionals organization, Jesse serves on the organization’s Volunteer Committee, and is a member of PaceSetters Mentoring Program. Jesse is also a member of the Advisory Board of Upstate Circle of Friends, as well as the Advisory Council for Rebuild Upstate. Jesse holds a membership in the Greenville Clemson Club, Clemson’s Greenville Young Alumni, and helps with numerous committees pertaining to Greenville and Clemson’s growing relationship.
Jesse is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and has active involvement in the Urban Land Institute (ULI). Jesse also champions various commerce related organizations, including the Greenville Chamber of Commerce, South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, Asheville Chamber of Commerce and Greenville Area Development Corporation (GADC).
