Jeremy Benkin brings over 20 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate serving both corporate and institutional clients. As a member of the CBRE Enterprise Supply Chain leadership, Mr. Benkin is responsible for business transformation initiatives within the global Asset Services business line. He is actively involved in the development and deployment of change management strategy, SCM technology platforms and development of our “New Ways of Working” efforts.
Prior to joining the Enterprise Supply Chain team, he led the Asset Services Procurement organization with $5B in annual spend, overseeing the purchasing policies, vendor relationships and program development for many of the division’s initiatives, including buying platforms, tenant buying consortiums, standards, and supplier partnerships.
Mr. Benkin has also served as CBRE’s Corporate Responsibility Team, where he led initiatives on data management to measure building performance and recycling program development. In 2009, he was selected by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) as a principal author for the Green Operations Guide: Integrating LEED into your Property Management, the industry’s first comprehensive how-to guide for transforming building operations. The programs have reached over 10,000 of the firm’s associates with training on sustainability topics specific to the industry and helped propel CBRE’s leadership in sustainable building operations. In 2011, Mr. Benkin was appointed to the Sustainability Advisory Committee for the Memphis and Shelby County Office of Sustainability, a joint initiative of Mayors Wharton and Luttrell, charged with transforming our committee to enhance the quality of life for each of our citizens.
Mr. Benkin joined CBRE with the acquisition of Trammell Crow Company, where he held various management positions within the accounting, facility management and property management groups. In 2003, he joined in the formation of TCC’s Strategic Sourcing organization. In this role, he focused on the generation of discount programs for managed properties and coordination of multi-site service contracting. Previously, Mr. Benkin was a Partner in Denver, Colorado-based Venture Group Real Estate which was acquired by Trammell Crow Company in 2000.
