Mr. Cohen has lived in Miami Beach for over 40 years and has extensive experience in developing, building and operating income-producing properties for him and other investors. Beginning in 1970,when he became the youngest licensed general contractor in the State of Florida, he served as Vice President of Cohen-Ager, Inc., a major South Florida construction and development firm where he developed industrial income properties. In 1986, he became one of the pioneer developers of South Beach, redeveloping numerous Art Deco structures, including ownership and management of two nightclubs and restaurants.Mr. Cohen is a real estate columnist and frequent real estate speaker and lecturer. He was appointed to the unsafe structures Board of Dade County and has served as a member of the Miami Beach Historic Preservation Board. He is an active member of the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce, a Florida Certified General Contractor, and a licensed Real Estate and Mortgage Broker. His past affiliations include: Director of the Miami Beach Development Corporation, Director, President of the Miami Beach Association of Realtors and President of the Commercial Realtors Association of Greater Miami and the Beaches. He was selected as the "1991 Realtor of the Year." Jeffrey Cohen is committed to packaging and promoting both Miami and Miami Beach investment and development opportunities internationally. At a time when the real estate development industry as a whole is dramatically different from what it was just a few years ago, the capital to rebuild Miami and its Beaches is coming largely from outside the traditional industry sources. Mr. Cohen views himself as a fiduciary, operating as a closely aligned extension of the client, protecting that client's interest as it were his own.
