Jeff Durham, Principal and Founder of Passport Advisory Group, (formerly Passport Hotel Group), has over 12 years of experience specifically in national hospitality brokerage. Prior to founding Passport Advisory Group in 2003, Durham served as an associate broker at National Hotel Brokers from 1999 to 2003. In addition to the numerous hotels that he assisted to a successful close of escrow, Jeff consulted on numerous hotel valuations totaling over $130,000,000. Mr. Durham had his introduction to the hospitality industry through the Food & Beverage Department at an early age and built most of that experience in the Napa Valley and the San Francisco Bay Area. He trained with Four Seasons Hotel Company, has worked in all aspects of the hospitality industry and was the opening manager for two renowned chefs-owned restaurants on both the west and east coast. His university education took him to southern California to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management at The Collins College of Hospitality Management at California Polytechnic University, Pomona. The university is known as one of the leading hospitality management colleges in the United States. As the owner of a national franchised hotel and independent hotel, Mr. Durham has extensive day-to-day operations experience dealing with all aspects of hotel ownership. Durham serves on the Board of Directors for the Humboldt County Visitors' and Convention Bureau giving him insight into the demand for lodging and marketing opportunities as well as extensive experience establishing a Tourist Improvement District (TID) in California. This hands-on experience lends itself perfectly to the understanding and needs of hospitality property owners. Currently serving as a commissioner for the Planning Commission and Parks and Community Services Commission for Yountville, California, Mr. Durham is in tune with the needs and demands of local and state government. As an active member of the communities of Napa and Humboldt Counties, participation with the Collins Hospitality Society, the Alumni Association of the Collins College of Hospitality Management, and serving on the Board of Directors for the Humboldt County Visitors' and Convention Bureau, Mr. Durham has references and industry contacts to best understand the hospitality market. As an avid runner who enjoys half-marathons nation-wide, Durham uses this interest as an opportunity to discover new hotel markets as well as the best restaurants in town.
