Jeanne discovered Santa Fe on her way back to her home in Huntington, New York, after graduating in 1967 from San Francisco State as a theatre major. A call came in 1970 which started a long relationship with the Santa Fe Opera. She managed the housing needs for the company. That included overseeing the Axton Apartments which the Santa Fe Opera purchased to provide accommodations for the production department and young singers. The art of matching people and places was in itself operatic. The number of leased housing requirements could run from 135 to 170 depending upon the season’s roster.
In 1973, Jeanne met her artist husband Norman Boyles, and moved to Tesuque. She continued to work at the opera until 1979 when she took a leave of absence to be a mother to their son, Patrick. In 1980, Jeanne earned her Real Estate license and became a Real Estate Agent. When a call came from the Santa Fe Opera in 1994, she returned to resume her housing management position.
Jeanne retired from the Santa Fe Opera in December, 2011. After a gentle persuasion, she joined Donna Saiz and the Donna Elena Saiz Realty Group in 2012
