Jean Laurin is a renowned expert in the field of real estate, having personally handled many of the largest and most complex transactions in Canada.
Mr. Laurin joined Devencore as a graduate in Business Administration from Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) in 1973. A year later, he becomes the Commercial Director for La Cité office spaces, in 1978, he is named Vice-President responsible for special projects and, in 1980, Vice-President, Montréal leasing operations.
In 1983, Mr. Laurin is named President of Devencore Ltd. And since then, he has been responsible for the development and the direction of Devencore. In 2000, driven by the desire of providing real estate services around the globe, Mr. Laurin becomes Chief Executive Officer of the Devencore Group where his organization became the founding member in Canada of a Global real estate organization, serving on the executive committee.
Devencore was acquired by Avison Young in 2021.
