Prepared for pre-med and law school prior to completing postgraduate degree in Software Engineering (3.89 GPA). Forgo acceptance to the University of California (UC Berkeley) PhD program while leading projects in Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and California working for McDonnell Douglas State Government Services, when during 1989 was recruited to work for Florida State Government (HRS), managing over 150 IT staff and contractors leading 36 statewide automated systems.
Technology is improving at a rate never seen before. In the last two projects: 1) Demonstrated proven Systems Architect Critical Thinking skills and know-how, analyzing massive complex legacy code, mitigating data redundancy, harvesting data base call returns, coding APIs from Scratch in support of multilingual presentation. Later learned, the program was awarded by The Ash Institute for Democratic Governance and Innovation at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government. Rendering obsolete over 140 large brick-and-mortar in-person service centers, and 2) Delivered Florida's largest automated system to over 12,500 locations statewide.
Now retired, I recognize that skilled software engineers are in higher demand than ever. The need for artificial intelligence skilled professionals is growing.
