Bio
Jay D. Roberds, II, SIOR, serves as a principal broker at CRE Mobile. Having real estate brokerage licenses in Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee, Roberds has been responsible for the leasing, sales and management of development projects for hundreds of clients throughout the southeast region of the United States. With over 20 years of commercial real estate experience, Roberds has served as retail advisor for Grubb and Ellis Sawyer Commercial, managed a portfolio in excess of three million square feet as director of development and leasing for Retail Management Group, LLC, and started his own company, Gleason and Roberds Commercial Real Estate Services and Investments, with partner, Thomas Gleason. In 2013, Gleason and Roberds merged with Grubb & Ellis Peebles and Cameron to form NAI Mobile. Starting with five partners, the company has surged into the area’s leading commercial real estate industry, adding a sixth partner and seven new agents. At the start of 2021, in an effort to better serve our clients in an ever changing market, Jay along with the rest of the team decided to rebrand to CRE Mobile. While Roberds has experience in nearly all aspects of the industry, he dedicates the majority of his time to sales and leasing of industrial, office, land, build-to-suits and investments. Roberds is a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors® (SIOR), an exclusive and coveted accreditation with only 3,200 members worldwide. Additionally, Roberds has served as president of the Mobile Commercial Real Estate Exchange Club, whose members include the top commercial brokers in south Alabama, and is a current member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, Roberds remains a local resident with his family. Roberds also served as a board member of several civic and non-profit organizations around the Gulf Coast, including the American Cancer Society, the Coastal Conservation Association, the United Way Young Leaders, the Arthritis Foundation and the YMCA of South Alabama. In 2011, Roberds was selected for Mobile Bay Magazine’s Forty Under Forty. Dedicated, ethical and fervent, Roberds strives to provide the best quality services to give his clients exceptional results.
