He received his real estate license in 1982 and immediately went to work for Rolling Hills Realty in Penn Valley, California, until May 2009. While at Rolling Hills Realty, he was the top-producing agent for thirteen out of the last fourteen years. No other agent in the company's thirty-six-year history had ever been the top-producing agent for that many years in a row.
