Bio
James joined Time Retail September 2021 in the Investment team.
He is a chartered surveyor and brings with him a broad range of experience having started his career at DTZ in 2003 within the Shopping Centre Investment team acting on both buy-side and sell-side instructions for a wide range of clients.
In 2010 James left to join RBS where he worked for 8 years in the Real Estate Finance, Restructuring, and Capital Resolution teams. Here he gained Real Estate banking expertise including origination, restructuring, run-down and exit. He worked with a diverse portfolio of clients and asset classes ranging from listed companies and shopping centres to high net worth individuals and care homes.
Latterly James worked at Shieldpay, an authorised payment institution, where he was part of the founding team and Operations Director. In his role he helped to lead the business and product development of Shieldpay’s Third-Party-Managed Account and Corporate Escrow services.
Returning to retail investment agency with his background in both finance and capital markets and the wealth of retailer knowledge at Time Retail he is uniquely positioned to help advise investors.
Away from work James is a keen competitor and follower of all sports with a real passion for rugby, golf and skiing.
