Jacob Despain began his real estate career in 1999 working in property management. He spent several years in the employ of Key Properties where he was a liaison between owners and tenants in office, industrial, investment and land properties. During this time he learned all aspects of commercial real estate and the importance of client relations. In 2003 Jacob joined Commerce CRG as a full time commercial real estate agent specializing in the industrial arena where he has experienced tremendous success.
Through his experience Jacob has learned the importance of establishing agent-client relationships built on trust. He takes the time to understand his client’s needs and desires, paying attention to all details, assuring his client’s objectives are being met. Jacob understands the market and how current and future economics affect local and national business. He is insistent on providing accurate market information including demographic profiles, competition analysis, financial and investment analysis and market comparable studies, all of which are significant to making competent commercial real estate decisions. Jacob also has extensive experience in contract negotiation, investment-property valuation and real estate marketing.
A strong belief in education has been a driving force in Jacob’s career path. After graduating cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Finance he continued his education at the University of Utah and recently received his Masters of Business Administration. While attending school he accumulated many honors including consecutive Dean’s List recognition. He took part in many organizations including managing a $100,000 student investment fund at the David Eccles School of Business, served as Vice President of the University of Utah Real Estate Group, and President of Sigma Gamma Chi. Jacob was also awarded the Presidential Convergys Scholarship from the David Eccles School of Business for his outstanding scholastic and leadership accomplishments.
