Jack Barnes is an investment sales specialist at Matthews™ focused on the acquisition and disposition of industrial properties in the Twin Cities. Jack works with owner-users, private client investors, and professional investors to realize their real estate goals across single- and multi-tenant industrial assets. His ability to understand and communicate market trends, local factors, and longer-term implications has served clients allowing them to create additional value. Jack’s commitment to his clients and ability to deliver results has made him a well-respected and trusted broker.
Prior to joining Matthews™, Jack spent three years at Cargill working on the Corporate Strategy Team where he led vital projects endorsed by the executive team. Jack advised Cargill business leaders in developing comprehensive business strategies including Cargill Risk Management, World Trading Group, Beef NA, and Ag Supply Chain NA among others. Before getting his MBA, Jack served five years in the US Army as a field artillery officer, reaching the rank of Captain. His exceptional leadership and track record allowed him to manage a variety of teams as large as 100 personnel while also overseeing asset transformations of $25M and $50M.
