Mr. Isaac Pretter is a Founding Principal of Mosaic Realty Partners where he focuses on direct investment in commercial real estate in the Mid-Atlantic. Prior to forming Mosaic, Pretter acquired office and retail assets in the Baltimore metro area and was the co-developer of Bancroft Village, a new 43-home community in Northwest Baltimore. The project was purchased in January 2009 as raw land and all 43 homes were sold by October 2012 (see www.bancroftvillagehomes.com).
Pretter previously served as Senior Loan Associate with iStar Financial, where he was responsible for originating and underwriting complex loans and investments for real estate projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region. Prior to iStar’s acquisition of the commercial division of Fremont Investment & Loan in July 2007, Pretter served as Senior Associate with Fremont’s Mid-Atlantic office. During his two-year tenure with Fremont, Pretter was directly involved in the origination, structuring, and underwriting of over $1.4 billion in senior debt facilities secured by a variety of collateral, including condominiums, shopping centers, mixed-use developments, land development, and office buildings. Prior to joining Fremont in June 2005, Pretter spent two years as a commercial real estate appraiser for Integra Realty Resources, a national appraisal company, and two years as a development associate for a Baltimore-based real estate developer. Pretter holds an M.B.A. in Finance from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Talmudic Law from Ner Israel College. Pretter is married with 5 children and lives in Northwest Baltimore.
