Herm provides real estate development and brokerage services from project inception through delivery. Herm is mechanical engineer with more than twenty years of experience on technically distinctive projects. This includes complicated and demanding design build projects that require unusual understanding of client requirements and budgets. Herm has strong experience in various technical development types, such as research laboratories, cGMP biopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, data centers, hospitals, and corporate and medical office buildings.
Prior to founding Verity Commercial, Herm was a founding member of JackLine Realty and was a top producer at Scheer Partners, Inc. Herm was one of the first employees and later shareholder of DPR Construction and helped grow DPR to $2 billion in revenue and 15 offices around the country. He founded the Fairfax, VA office for DPR Construction and oversaw the local office build up from 1 to 65 people and from $10M to $115M in construction volume in five years. Herm is a frequent speaker for NVTC and VABIO and a past member of the Commonwealth of Virginia Joint Commission on Science & Technology (JCOTS).
