His responsibilities include analyzing new investment opportunities, cash flow modeling, real estate underwriting, and due diligence in the single-family build-to-rent market and the multifamily market.
Prior to joining Haven, Herman started his real estate business in 2011 by acquiring and owning a portfolio of over 30 single-family properties in the Phoenix and Houston market. He is responsible for all aspects of the acquisitions and the day-to-day property management of the portfolio. He also has extensive transaction experience in the residential market, with over 70 transactions closed to date. He exited the portfolio in 2020 and joined Haven Realty Capital shortly after.
Herman holds a Masters in Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of California, San Diego.
