Heath Johnson is a founding Principal of Dakota Plains Real Estate & Development, Dakota Plains Energy, Campbell County Wind Farm, LLC and the Aberdeen Downtown Apartments, LLC., among others.
He has over 20 years of business management and ownership experience, in both the retail and service industries.
Heath graduated with a BS in Management Degree from the University of South Dakota and has also gone on to complete his Master’s in Business from USD. Heath is a 2017 alumnus of Leadership South Dakota, a competitive statewide program designed to build the next generation of SD leaders.
He currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Aberdeen Downtown Association, Business Improvement District, Downtown Parking Board, Aberdeen Area Community Foundation, Aberdeen YMCA & the Aberdeen Hockey Association. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Dacotah Prairie Museum, Aberdeen Sertoma Club, United Way of NESD and the Aberdeen Planning & Zoning Commission.
Heath splits his time between our Aberdeen based commercial real estate firm and several wind and solar energy projects in the Midwest. Heath Johnson offices out of Aberdeen, SD where he lives with his wife Stacy, their three children and two eager hunting dogs.
