Harry L. Botkin is an Advisor for the Sperry Van Ness/Norris Commercial Group, LLC. Mr. Botkin graduated from the University of Tulsa prior the entering the Navy as a Naval Aviator. He served for 23 years and retired with the rank of Commander in 1981. While in the Navy, Mr. Botkin attended the Naval Post Graduate School where he studied Engineering Science, and the Naval War College studying International Economics.
After retirement, Mr. Botkin affiliated with a commercial real estate brokerage firm in San Diego where he was involved in the brokerage and leasing of commercial properties. He has owned and managed his personal real estate assets since 1977 specializing in apartments and self-storage facilities. Mr. Botkin has owned self-storage facilities in San Antonio, Texas since 1993 and currently owns three properties containing 1500+ units. In addition to his real estate brokerage/ownership activities, Mr. Botkin has been involved in the placement of commercial real estate loans with values over five million dollars, and originating equity dollars for office buildings and skilled nursing facilities.
Mr. Botkin holds the Certified Property Management (CPM) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designee.
He is married and has two children and seven grandchildren all of which are wonderful. Mr. Botkin is a member of Lions Club International and currently is the President of the New Braunfels Evening Lions Club.
