Hanford is an accomplished sports professional and business entrepreneur with a life-long passion for football! He has been successful as a Professional NFL Athlete with The Cleveland Browns. Hanford was drafted by the Browns out of The University of Southern Mississippi in the first round of the 1981 NFL Draft. He spent his nine-year career with The Browns as a cornerstone in the defensive backfield. He was First Team All-Pro in '86 & '87 & named to the Pro Bowl '86, '87, & '88!
In 2009, Hanford and his teammate Frank Minnifield would be selected as the number two cornerback tandem in NFL history. He and Minnifield are also credited with starting the "Dawg Pound" during training camp in 1985!
Hanford has an extensive background locally with Broadcasting that includes an On Air Personality, Commentator, TV, and Radio Sports Analyst, and, as needed, Sports anchor with Clear Channel Communications, Fox Sport News and WOIO!
He continues to keep a visible presence on the football front and enjoy relationships with NFL professionals around the world.
Hanford’s business/entrepreneurial experience includes becoming a Broker/Licensed Real Estate Agent. He has owned and run his own company; and worked with and supported positive, trusting relationships with staff, clients, and interdisciplinary real estate industry professionals (realtors, appraisers, lenders). His strengths include establishing relationships with industry professionals, marketing, advertising, networking, and closing sales. Hanford has shown he is effective in earning the trust of his clients and walking them through all sides of the buying/selling process.
