Bio
In their brokerage practice, the individual encompasses the office, retail, and industrial real estate sectors of Oakland and the larger East Bay. Prior to their brokerage career, they had a 16-year tenure in development and planning for the City of Oakland. They believe that their deep understanding of both the public and private sectors provides valuable insights and expertise to the investors, landlords, and tenants they represent.
During their time as the Director for the City of Oakland Redevelopment Agency, they played a pivotal role in shaping the city. They directed numerous public and privately funded projects that contributed to Oakland's development into the thriving town it is today. One notable achievement was managing the completion of the city's Façade and Tenant Improvement Programs, which played a crucial role in attracting ground floor tenants to over 250,000 square feet of vacant space along Oakland's commercial corridors. They also improved grocery accessibility in some of Oakland's most challenging food deserts and were instrumental in the development of over 100,000 square feet of newly constructed retail spaces. These projects were complex and required innovative and intricate solutions for success.
Today, in their role as a client advocate and advisor, they find immense satisfaction in bringing their extensive market expertise and understanding of the city planning process to their clients' real estate objectives. They are committed to working diligently on every detail of a deal and ensuring meticulous execution throughout the deal-making process.
Their deep fondness for the city of Oakland and the larger East Bay region is evident, and they aspire to continue enhancing its value for owners, tenants, and other residents. They hold a deep respect for the vision and skill that individuals in the public sector bring to the community's success, and they cherish the opportunity their brokerage work provides to collaborate with talented and dedicated individuals in the city.
Outside of work, they serve as a board member for the Alameda County Salvation Army Advisory Board. In their leisure time, they enjoy activities like running and tennis, and they cherish spending time with their wife and 5-year-old daughter.
