Greg entered the commercial real estate industry in 1990 as the Assistant General Manager of Yorkdale Shopping Centre. Throughout the period of 1990 to 2002 held various management positions with Trilea, Council Management and a U.S. based real estate company managing retail commercial assets including free standing buildings, community enclosed malls, anchored and non-anchored strip centres and regional enclosed malls. Greg’s responsibilities included all aspects of day to day management, leasing, tenant relations as well as asset management functions. During this period Greg played an integral role in the redevelopment of enclosed and strip retail centres repositioning the assets from their tired state to become dominant retail destinations in their respective communities. Greg was also directly involved in the financing and eventual disposition of the assets. Greg’s extensive experience in management proved to lay a solid foundation and deep understanding of the principals of all aspects of commercial real estate.
In 2002 Greg joined Riocan Real Estate Investment Trust as Director of Leasing and was responsible for leasing of established retail assets (enclosed and strip retail), asset repositioning and new development and site intensification leasing in various Ontario, PEI, New Brunswick and Newfoundland markets. Notable projects at Riocan included the pre and post development leasing for Riocan Centre Burloak, Riocan Centre Milton as well as involvement in the initial planning of the redevelopment of Riocan’s Yonge Eglington Centre.
In 2008 Greg left the corporate world to pursue an opportunity to utilize his experience in the brokerage community and eventually in 2012 formed Clearstream Commercial Real Estate. Since the beginnings of Greg’s involvement in the commercial real estate brokerage industry, Greg has been successfully servicing his landlord, tenant, investor and end user clients in leasing, securing, purchasing and disposition of commercial real estate. Greg’s list of clients range from small to institutional and national landlords, tenants and investors in the retail, industrial and office sectors. These clients have relied on Greg and the Clearstream team to consistently deliver results. Greg takes pride in his “client first” beliefs and that he and the brokerage exist to serve its clients and their best interests.
