Hi there! My name is Gene Fichte and I own Ben Thomas Companies, a real estate firm in Mansfield, Texas. I am licensed Texas Real Estate Broker dedicated to providing clients the highest level of service and expertise. We work primarily with sellers of commercial & rural land, commercial real estate, luxury properties, farms & ranches.
I have a diverse background and considerable real estate marketing expertise. Even though I didn’t know it at the time I got my start in real estate about 1987. I grew up in the advertising business with my dad, a very talented writer and photographer. After a few years I broke off and started my own advertising, marketing and commercial photography business. Some of my first clients were in the commercial real estate business. I helped them come up with creative ways to market and eventually sell or lease their properties. I did this for a few years and thought…you know…I think I could do this and decided to get into the real estate business. I studied like crazy and received my salesman license as fast as possible, then went on to work hard and became a Licensed Texas Real Estate Broker about two years later.
Since that time, we’ve been blessed to have worked with clients in virtually all aspects of the real estate business. There is no question my advertising and marketing background have helped me become a much better real estate broker. (I’m also a pretty good photographer as well!) Our real estate clients directly benefit from our marketing expertise; and we do a much better job than most positioning our clients' properties to receive maximum exposure and sell for above market prices.
We have closed transactions including industrial/office-warehouse buildings, mini-warehouse properties, commercial land, large tracts of rural land; and farms and ranches ranging from 10 acres to over 500 acres. We sold a luxury resort, cabin and airplane hangar in Colorado; and properties of all types and sizes across Texas.
I graduated from East Texas State University with degrees in Business Marketing, Commercial Photography and Journalism.
When not working nothing gives me more joy than hanging out with family, watching my son play baseball, riding my bike or binge-watching Netflix!
