Bio
Gene is a Baltimore, MD resident who immigrated to the United States with his family from Kiev, Ukraine at a young age. They settled in Reisterstown, MD, where he attended Baltimore County schools, played varsity soccer at Franklin High School, and graduated from high school a year early. With an academic scholarship in hand, Gene pursued a degree in Business with a concentration in finance from Stevenson University (formerly Villa Julie College) in 2002.
As a motivated and hardworking individual with a passion for helping others, Gene began his career as a loan originator after college. He quickly rose through the ranks, holding managerial roles at companies like Community Mortgage Group and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage while maintaining status as a top producer. Throughout his mortgage career, Gene funded over $500 million in mortgage volume.
In 2017, he transitioned to real estate, joining the #1 growing brokerage in the Baltimore Metro area at Keller Williams. Starting as an individual agent, he eventually became the team leader for the #1 team in the market, which consistently produced the most sales. In 2020, he founded his own team, the Gene Dru Property Group, which has since been ranked as the top producing team in the region and won several awards from local and national organizations.
Outside of work, Gene is a devoted family man with a beautiful wife, two kids, two dogs, and half a koi fish. He enjoys spending time with his family, tending to his garden, and watching his children experience the fruits of his labor.
