Gary L. Altman was born and raised in Ford City. He graduated from Westminster College in 1976 with a BA degree in Business Administration with an area of concentration in accounting. Upon graduation, Gary became a branch manager for a federal savings and loan association. In 1979, he got his Real Estate Sales License and began selling real estate on a full-time basis. In 1982, he received his Brokers License and began performing appraisals; he also received his GRI designation that year. He received the Certified Real Estate Appraiser Designation in 1988 and a Broker/Appraiser certification in 1996, Gary became Broker of Record for Altman Real Estate Agency, Inc that same year. Gary was the 2006-2007 President of the Kittanning Rotary Club; he is member of Armstrong County Chamber of Commerce, Board member of Downtown Kittanning Incorporated, and National Association of Notaries. Gary became a Certified Residential Appraiser in March 2006. He is a member of the National Association of Master Appraisers.
