•Serve as the staff manager for the Texas City Economic Development Corporation, providing oversight for projects, programs, budgets, meetings, agendas, and marketing.
•Negotiate and develop strategies for economic development incentives including Chapter 380 Agreements, Chapter 312 Agreements, and other potential incentives.
•Cooperate and represent the City of Texas City on external boards, such as: Electric Reliability Council of Texas, Gulf Coast Economic Development District, Greater Houston Partnership, and the Texas City / La Marque Chamber of Commerce.
•Serve as the ombudsman for commercial development projects as they progress through various municipal departments, to ensure all requirements are met.
•Lead and develop special projects for the redevelopment of the 6th Street District, development of Shoal Point, and projects from Governor Abbott’s Office of Economic Development.
•Serve as the staff support for other municipal boards, which includes: Texas City Industrial Development Corporation, Texas City Harbor Authority, Texas City Housing Finance Corporation, Texas City Cultural Arts Foundation, and the Texas City Historical Commission.
•Assist in the management of Foreign Trade Zone #199, and administer all correspondence with existing subzone participants.
•Work in conjunction with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the Texas City Terminal Railway Company for all projects related to the maintenance and dredging of the Texas City Ship Channel.
•Assist existing petrochemical partners in the City of Texas City with their growth and development.
•Develop and maintain the Texas City Economic Development Corporation’s web presence.
