Bio
Gabriel Uhrig is the Principal and Founder of HighGround Commercial Investments. He previously served as the Director of Brokerage and as a Charter School Real Estate Director for a large Commercial Real Estate Development and Management Company in Denver, Colorado. In that capacity he was directly involved with many of the company’s building acquisitions, re-cast, dispositions, leases, debt sourcing and capital raises totaling over $395 million in volume. He was successful in 100% of the listing and representation assignments that he worked on during his tenure. He has an extensive knowledge of all asset classes/product types and has successfully closed transactions throughout the country. He has long standing relationships with institutional capital sources, high net worth individuals and Family Offices around the country.
Mr. Uhrig has been involved on the principle side of commercial real estate acquisitions since 2006. He specialized in identifying value-add opportunistic real estate assets for a national sponsor and assisted in the underwriting and capital raises for the acquisition, capital improvements and lease up of those assets. In 2008 he co-founded Globalbroker.com which was a CRE database directory that was designed to offer all professionals working in the commercial real estate industry access to services from competing national and local service providers on a marketplace platform. That company under third party management unfortunately closed the doors in 2018.
Prior to working in the Commercial Real Estate industry Uhrig was dually certified by the State of Florida as a Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) and Corrections Officer (CO). He was one of the youngest academy graduates the state had ever put through their program and worked briefly for the Lake County Sheriff’s Office before returning to college full time in 1996.
Uhrig attended the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida where he majored in Business Administration and International Finance while working full time. He launched his first company in 2005 and then another in 2009 that employed over 100 employees and Independent Contractors and enjoyed multimillion-dollar annual revenues. In 2012 he launched a consumer advocacy company that assisted defrauded consumers in getting tents of millions of dollars worth of transactions returned to them and was instrumental in legislative policy changes that criminalized the actions of the offending companies.
When Gabriel isn't spending time with his family he enjoy's traveling, watching collage and NFL football, surfing, hiking and snowboarding.
