Eugene R. Diaz created Prism as an entity that would enable him to continue his work in real estate investment, development and speculation. Diaz seeks well-positioned properties with an "outside the box" approach to focus on bold and innovative options. His vision and work ethic have produced outstanding results for Prism's clients, some of which have quadrupled their original investments. Mr. Diaz is first and foremost a value investor who emphasizes prudent capital structure and looks to the inherent potential of real estate to achieve superior returns.
Previously, Mr. Diaz worked as a leasing specialist for Cushman & Wakefield and has held several positions at Gale & Wentworth, including Chief Investment Officer where he was a senior partner responsible for directing and overseeing all aspects of the company's investment activities, including capital raising and investment strategy. He established the company's first Asset Management Department, and under his direction, grew the owned investment portfolio from 500,000 square feet to more than 12 million square feet in eight states.
Mr. Diaz received a Masters Degree in Real Estate Investment & Development from New York University where he frequents as a guest lecturer and stand-in professor. And received undergraduate degrees in Economics and Political Science from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. Mr. Diaz was honored in 2001 by Commercial Property News being names one of their "Stars to Watch".
