Erik Vogelzang stands as a Market Leader of the El Segundo, California Matthews Real Estate Investment Services™ office. In his role, Erik develops, trains, and recruits agents as the company continues to grow. Erik maximizes agent production, enacts the latest company initiatives, oversees day-to-day activities, builds upon the Matthews™ culture, and manages structure in the workplace. Prior to his current role at Matthews™, Erik specialized in retail investment properties across the U.S and has successfully completed sales with a total consideration north of $225M. Erik has built an extensive client base, working alongside developers, REITs, corporations, franchise operators, private equity, and private investors to execute seamless transactions, positioning his clients for the greatest long-term financial success. Erik has a tremendous background in building portfolios of shopping centers, dollar stores, fast-food chains, and big-box retailers nationwide. As a well-trusted agent in the industry, Erik brings top-tier communication, ambition, and comprehensive knowledge to every transaction he is a part of.
Prior to joining Matthews™, Erik served as a First Vice President at SRS. Before that, he held the position of Acquisitions and Asset Management Analyst for Barings (+$50.0B AUM) where he worked to acquire, dispose, manage, and report on $15.0B worth of assets across all product types and risk profiles. His background in multiple aspects of CRE makes Erik an expert in executing his client’s financial goals.
