Eric Jacobson currently serves as Director of Property Management and Senior Vice President at Frontline Real Estate Partners. As Director of Property Management, Eric is responsible for overseeing Frontline’s property management portfolio and reporting to clients. Since joining Frontline in 2011, Eric has managed in excess of 350 commercial properties totaling over 8.0 million square feet of retail, office, industrial, hospitality, mixed-use, multi-family, and other special use properties located throughout the Chicago MSA and nationally. Specific duties include overseeing maintenance and repairs, capital improvements, budgeting, rent collections, accounts payable, financial reporting, tenant relations, vendor relations, service procurement and negotiations, building code compliance, lease negotiations, and litigation across Frontline’s managed assets.
Eric’s expertise includes significant experience with distressed assets, including Court-Appointed Receivership, Mortgagee-In-Possession, Bankruptcy, and REO asset management. Eric has worked on over 100 receiverships throughout his career, and routinely prepares, files, and appears in court to present reports for commercial properties in foreclosure. Clients served range from local and out-of-state real estate investors to some of the largest financial institutions in the country.
In addition to leading Frontline’s property management team, Eric serves as an investment analyst and utilizes Argus software to perform financial modeling and property valuation for clients. Eric is also a licensed real estate broker since 2010 with experience transacting on both sales and leasing of commercial assets.
Eric studied in Finance and Real Estate at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business in 2010. During his tenure at Indiana University, Eric was a member of the Phi Sigma Theta National Honor Society, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Alpha Lambda Delta National Academic Honor Society for Freshmen, the Provost’s Honor Roll, and the Indiana University Real Estate Club.
