Bio
Elizabeth Almodobar offers over 25 years of experience selling real estate on Nantucket at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Island Properties.*
Elizabeth's service-oriented approach is anchored by her strong ethics, trusted expertise, market knowledge, and calm demeanor. Elizabeth takes pride in providing prompt and customized service tailored to each client's needs. She prefers to work exclusively as a buyer or seller agent to represent her client's interests effectively. Her continued success stems from positive referrals and repeat business. Elizabeth's personal integrity, candor, responsiveness, and solutions-oriented methodology have earned her a loyal clientele. Driven by her client's trust, she follows through to meet and surpass their expectations.
Elizabeth grew up in a small town in coastal Maine and came to the island for one summer, and the rest is history. Elizabeth's husband, Beau, was raised on Nantucket. After a short stint playing professional football, he returned to the island to teach, coach, and give back to the next generation of islander's. Beau and Elizabeth's two college-age children, Jackson and Celia, are "Nantucket Natives."
Over the years, Elizabeth has volunteered for many local non-profits, including as a Docent at the African Meeting House, a Board Member on The Community Partnership for Children, The Massachusetts Family Network, The Friends of the Nantucket Public Schools, The Nantucket Skating Club, and on the Nantucket Town Area Plan & Mid Island Plan Land Use Work Groups. She currently serves on the Harvey Foundation's Board.
Elizabeth loves to sail and enjoys spending time outdoors, relaxing on the beaches, diving for scallops during the family scalloping season, and walking her dog, Rue, on the island's Conservation and Land Bank properties. During the off-season, she is pursuing the art of loom weaving, learning from a local legend and renowned textile craftswoman. Elizabeth feels fortunate to be part of the vibrant, close-knit, year-round island community.
