Doug Hand was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia and is a second generation realtor. He is a graduate of Presbyterian College with a BS in Business. Doug' father, Bob Hand, worked for years in real estate including with Lindsey's Realtors and is cousins with Frank and Chip Barron.
Doug has over 14 years experience as a licensed realtor. Doug started out working on the residential side representing buyers and sellers for Prudential Real Estate (now Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices) and then transitioned into working as the Director of Operations and Business Development for real estate investment firm, Orkin and Associates. Doug's experience spans all aspects of residential and commercial real estate including land / building acquisition and sales, corporate relocation, commercial lease negotiation, portfolio / property management and government relations / development entitlement. Doug has a real passion for real estate and has developed an extensive network of real estate relationships over the years and he stays connected with numerous local government, economic development and business leaders. He is excited that the Atlanta area and especially Fulton /Coweta / Fayette and surrounding counties are well positioned for commercial and residential growth in the coming years.
Doug is a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), Georgia Association of Realtors (GAR), Georgia Multiple Listing Service and Newnan-Coweta Board of Realtors and he is a Chamber Champion with the Newnan Coweta Chamber of Commerce.
