Bio
Don Peterson is Senior Vice President of Development at Prometheus Real Estate Group. Born in Queens and a product of a Long Island 80’s adolescence, home for Don is Billy Joel, the Mets, summers on Robert Moses, and local NY pizza. For college, Don attended the Harvard of the east, which also happens to be the actual Harvard, where he enjoyed life by the Charles and played in the 1987 Ivy Football Championship. In 1989, Don left the east coast for the lifestyle and climate of San Francisco, landing just in time for the Loma Prieta earthquake. While unnerved, Don remained in California, where he began his career in real estate development. Don enjoyed stints of 15 and 8 years, respectively, at SNK Realty Group and Mill Creek Residential, where he led urban infill multifamily development and acquisition efforts in the Bay Area. Don arrived home at Prometheus in January 2021. Don’s professional affiliations have included Urban Land Institute, National Multi-Housing Council, and San Francisco Bay Area Planning and Urban Research Association (SPUR).
