Dick is a Corvallis, Oregon native and has a business degree from the University of Oregon in Eugene.
After college he starting working in industrial sales and leasing with Bullier and Bullier in Portland
He was successful in the firm and by 1997 was a vice-president and associate broker. At that point Bullier and Bullier was purchased by Collier’s International to become Colliers Bullier & Bullier.
In 1999 he moved to a regional firm, ESP Commercial and Industrial Real Estate, looking for greater opportunities to serve his clients.
In 2000, with 15 years of experience in industrial real estate and leasing it was time for Dick to found his own firm, Shafer Realty.
He lives in Portland near a golf course, with his two lovely daughters, did I mention the dog? Dick has a wide range of experience that he will use to serve you and help you meet your real estate goals.
