Bio
After years of global travel and a corporate career as a Director and COO who oversaw a Fortune 500 company’s distribution channel, Diane Edwards fell in love with Beaufort County, North Carolina’s vast waterfront. “I saw a new opportunity to utilize my skills and affinity for this area,” she says. “My global outlook helps ease my clients’ transition to North Carolina.” Because she is familiar with many of the places buyers currently reside or do business, her perspective mirrors that of her clients. “I’ve lived so many places that I know where people are coming from and I know what they’re going to find when they get here,” she says. “I can be very helpful to them.” An independent Broker with Coldwell Banker Coastal Rivers Realty in Washington, NC, Diane knows that REALTORS® have to be able to sell the area. For example, Beaufort County is the fifth largest county in North Carolina by area. The market, explains Diane, is driven by lifestyle changes. She considers it a responsibility and a pleasure, therefore, to convey all the good about the area. “You have to be knowledgeable about the location as well as the property,” she says. “At the end of the day it won’t matter that its’ a beautiful, million-dollar home if people aren’t happy where they live.” “There’s nothing you can’t do here!” she says, noting water sports such as boating and fishing, plus other outdoor adventure across Beaufort County’s riverfront and oceanfront. Plus, there are new opportunities for new businesses Diane’s motto, “Sail through your Real Estate transaction with a Caring Professional,” points to her local area expertise and her professionalism. “I bring a strong business acumen to real estate, drawing from my experience as COO for a major corporation.” One way she displays this professionalism is through ongoing collaborations with other agents and local organizations. By working in concert with other agents she enhances both the real estate profession and the customer experience. “I strive to bring extraordinary service to my clients,” says Diane, who works with all types of buyers and sellers and a variety of properties including commercial. She works long hours to make people happy with their real estate transactions, whether they are selling a home, buying a vacation home, relocating for retirement or purchasing their first home. “I love first-time buyers,” she says. “I remember how it felt to be a first-time buyer.” There is great satisfaction, she says, in guiding all my clients seamlessly through a process that might otherwise seem arduous and intimidating. It’s no wonder that Diane is consistently a Multi-Million Dollar producer with several important designations to her credit including being a member of the Coldwell Banker President’s Club which makes her one of the top 5% internationally in Coldwell Banker. Clients and partners also appreciate her dedicated, thorough approach to every stage of a real estate relationship, as well as her deep knowledge and advance planning. “I do my homework upfront, whether with listing a property or helping a buyer,” she says. “I also believe strongly in giving back to the community. Real estate is so much more than property; it’s about a sense of community.” Her community outreach includes sizable donations of time and money to programs benefiting children, schools, local economic development efforts and leadership roles with area nonprofits. Among the groups she supports are Martha’s Pantry, a local food pantry and thrift store; Meals on Wheels; Darleen’s Flamingo 5K for Breast Cancer; Rotary and Wine, Dine & Design to name a few. She also serves as Chairperson of the Coldwell Banker Coastal Rivers Realty’s COATS FOR KIDS program. “This will be my 12th year collecting donations and buying new coats for foster and needy children in the area,” she says. Finally, approximately 10% /- of her incomes goes back to local charities and schools through Donor programs.
