Deron was named the #1 industrial broker in 2021, 2020 and 2019, the #2 industrial broker in 2018 and 2017, and the #1 industrial broker in 2016, 2015 and 2014 by the Florida Gulfcoast Commercial Association Of Realtors Regional Division, and arguably has been the top producing industrial broker specializing within Pinellas County Florida over the past 24 years. Deron has been named as one of the top five industrial brokers in the Tampa Bay region 21 times out of the past 24 years, or 88% of the time. The next closest regional division broker placed in the top five only 40% of the time.
Deron was employed at Cushman & Wakefield of Florida from 1994 – 1999 and he originally began his career with Cushman & Wakefield in their St. Louis, Missouri office in 1991. Prior to joining C&W, Deron was Vice President of Cozad Commercial Real Estate in St. Louis, Missouri. He also played four seasons of professional baseball with the St. Louis Cardinals organization, reaching the Class AA level.
Deron is a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) which is the leading professional commercial and industrial real estate association. SIOR has certified more than 3,400 of its members with the prestigious SIOR designation, a professional symbol of the highest level of knowledge, production and ethics in the real estate industry. Real estate professionals who have earned the SIOR designation are recognized by corporate real estate executives, commercial real estate brokers, agents, lenders and other real estate professionals as the most capable and experienced brokerage practitioners in any market.
Deron has also earned the prestigious CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation. Recognized for its preeminence within the industry, the CCIM curriculum represents the core knowledge expected of commercial investment practitioners. The CCIM curriculum comprises financial analysis, market analysis, user decision analysis, and investment analysis for commercial investment real estate. Only 6% of the estimated 125,000 commercial real estate practitioners nationwide hold the CCIM designation, which reflects not only the caliber of the program, but also why it is one of the most coveted and respected designations in the industry.
Deron graduated from Missouri State University, Springfield, MO with a B.A. degree in Industrial Communications.
