Bio
Derek Seal has a passion for real estate and at the age of 22 became a licensed real estate agent. Working part-time through college Derek learned the fundamentals of real estate, buying, fixing leasing, and selling residential real estate.
Since then, Derek has a has exercised his entrepreneurial spirt where he has managed large teams to achieve results, overseen projects from concept to completion, and consistently dedicated himself to help others achieve their goals through teaching and mentoring others in both commercial and residential real estate.
Derek currently owns Maxfield Real Estate LLC which operates in Utah and Arizona and under NextHome Experts. Derek also owns Gorilla Rents LLC dba Maxfield Property Management, Maxfield Community Management, and is also a General Contractor for a service-based repair business for residential and commercial landlords called Property Mechanic®.
Derek’s has used his skills to help hundreds of owners as well as large corporations such as Bank of America, One West Bank, and the FDIC to acquire, manage and dispose of properties.
Since 2010, Derek has participated and played an active role on the Utah REALTORS® Government Affairs Committee, worked on local and state task forces, served as a board member for the Utah Apartment Association and the President of the Utah Chapter of the National Association of Property Managers (NARPM®). Derek holds more than 24 professional designations such as the CPM®, RMP®, MPM®, CRPM, CCA, and CRS® and is a continuing education instructor. Derek is the only person that holds a CPM®, MPM® ,RMP® and CRPM® in the State of Utah.
Derek is the proud father of nine and enjoys spending time with family, travel and good BBQ.
